What we found about Magical (2026-10-04)
- The extension “Magical: Text Expander & Autofill” is listed in the Chrome Web Store by HeyAutoFill Inc., with about 300,000 users and version 3.119.1 (updated April 4, 2026).
- We found no Magical extension on addons.mozilla.org (search for “magical”).
- Its Chrome Web Store privacy section says it handles personally identifiable information, location, web history, user activity and website content.
- The getmagical.com homepage now presents Magical as “AI agents for healthcare operations”, and getmagical.com/pricing redirects to the homepage – we could not find public prices for the text expander.

When Magical is the better choice
If you need autofill that moves data between web apps, integrations with a CRM or ATS, or company-wide features – and you use Chrome – Magical offers far more than Keyfill.
When Keyfill fits better
- You use Firefox.
- You want text expansion only – replies, signatures, addresses, links – without an account.
- You prefer a tool that doesn't send what you type anywhere.
What Keyfill doesn't do
- No sync between devices. Snippets live in one Firefox profile. To move them, use Export (JSON) and Import on the other computer.
- No team features. No shared folders, admin roles or usage reports.
- No forms, dropdowns, if/then rules or AI. Placeholders are limited to
{date},{iso},{time}and{cursor}. - Not in Google Docs (it uses a custom editor) and never in password fields.
- Firefox only for now.
