Text Blaze and Firefox
Text Blaze's own FAQ says: "For Safari or Firefox users: Install our desktop apps for Windows or Mac instead." Its browser extension is for Chrome and Chromium-based browsers. We also found no Text Blaze extension when searching addons.mozilla.org on 2026-10-04.
So in Firefox your choices are the Text Blaze desktop app, or an extension that runs inside Firefox – such as Keyfill.

When Text Blaze is the better choice
If your team shares snippets, you need fill-in forms or conditional text, or you want your snippets on several computers automatically – Text Blaze does much more than Keyfill. Use it in Chrome or Edge, or via its desktop app.
When Keyfill fits better
- You use Firefox and want expansion directly in the browser.
- You don't want an account, a subscription or your text on someone's server.
- You need plain snippets: replies, addresses, signatures, links, dates.
What Keyfill doesn't do
- No sync between devices. Snippets live in one Firefox profile. To move them, use Export (JSON) and Import on the other computer.
- No team features. No shared folders, admin roles or usage reports.
- No forms, dropdowns, if/then rules or AI. Placeholders are limited to
{date},{iso},{time}and{cursor}. - Not in Google Docs (it uses a custom editor) and never in password fields.
- Firefox only for now.
Moving snippets
Keyfill imports CSV files with two columns: shortcut, text. If you can export your snippets to CSV (or build such a file in a spreadsheet), you can import them in one step from the Keyfill manager.
